The Pot Food and Wine was an awesome venue for a family special occasion. Just out of the city on trendy Rundle St Hyde Park this is a skilful and wonderfully ambient restaurant that pleases at every level. We flew here from Melbourne to join our Adelaide family members to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. So it had to be somewhere special – these things don’t happen everyday. The food here is top notch with tapas dishes to be shared. There wasn’t a weak link among the fine fare. Each dish was sensational. Just to sit back and enjoy the ambience of this restaurant on a warmish Adelaide night was sublime. A modern fit out and long table for our large group to relax and imbibe.

The Pot Buns are more like burgers to me… Delicate but with substance. Choose from a great selection of Prawn and Kimchi, then Pork, watercress and kewpie or indeed the Duck, cucumber, spring onion and hoi sin (my favourite), or finally Mushrooms, truffle and watercress. The buns themselves are delicious, and I suspect soft brioche.
Slow roasted Hay Valley Lamb with macaroni and cheese is superb. The slow roasted lamb is cooked to perfection and the dude food heaven is complete with the macaroni and cheese.
