The Organic Market and Cafe is an institution in the charming suburb of Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. This cafe has been the mainstay of Stirling for years and has kept up high standards of service and tasty fare. The organic store out the back is the game changer with a huge range of organic foods both fresh and prepared available. This cafe is a perfect place to relax and catch up with friends, or go solo and read the paper. The large oak trees of Druids Avenue surround.
Expect soups and juices, organic treats and the odd platter. For lunch we wanted something substantial but most of the options were mid range in terms of hunger killers. This Salmon foccacia was one of the key options on the day so we elected to order this. The salmon was delightful and the accompanying salad hit the spot.
The real star of the set up is the market store take home food out the back. This is about ridgy didge certified organics, fruit, vegetables and even wine. Fresh and certified is a great combination and these guys are passioate about organics. Having visited this place a dozen or more times we enjoy chatting with the staff about organics. A stroll around the market section of the cafe is rewarding - if you're into organics or healthy eating you should be impressed.
Coffee was excellent and made with care. The vibe is slightly hipster with the Stirling crowd well patronising this popular cafe. You can even bring your dog there (outside) with water bowls provided.
Come here on a Saturday morning and you may find it hard to get a table. Hugely popular.
