Paddy's Lantern has been a revelation in the CBD of Adelaide as a coffee hub. This is a cafe that led the charge on serious single origin and specialty coffee culture. Tucked away in Gilbert St it is unassuming and without hype.
The space is chic with high ceilings and mountain bikes mounted on the wall. The feel is relaxed, and fits the relaxed precinct Paddy's Lantern finds itself in. Nearby are offices of professionals and some residential. Image: Facebook Page.
Food choices are simple but effective, featuring local produce. We dare say a modern menu with healthier eating on trend. Every aspect is of the highest quality, from milk to Mylor bread. The haloumi salad is to be raved out (our picture above). Or go the Smoked trout or the Soft boiled eggs and soldiers. Breakfast for champions.
We have known owner Sam Carey over the years and recognise he had a vision that has helped shape the Adelaide coffee scene. Highly recommended.
