Bread and Bone Wood Grill is a dude food haven in the Adelaide CBD, and brings a unique chic vibe to the burger scene. This place is part of the wider appeal of Peel St, a hip destination. From Peel St itself the restaurant is deceptively large - we found there to be a large main dining area, counter dining and a downstairs courtyard area. Unlike many burger joints Bread and Bone delivers on table service and will direct you to a table (if one available) and return promptly to take your order. The fit out is modern with long tables for groups, and more intimate enclosures for couples.
It's not just about burgers at Bread and Bone but they're hard to go past. The World Loves Adelaide ventured to Bread and Bone for a Friday lunch and found the place packed with a wait list. Start with a beer on tap from the wide selection...
Bread and Bone delivered on the Veal Croquettes.
The star of the show was however the Bread and Bone B&B Burger with beef, smoke bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, caramelised onion, pickle, sauce , kewpie. Altogether it was juicy bliss with the melted cheese, juicy patty, bun and sauces a triumph, with tang of pickles and kewpie. We also highly rated the goldren crispy fries.
Bread and Bone has burger themes with new burgers appearing for limited periods.
We would come here for the ambience (streak of hipster) as much as the food. There's a real buzz at Bread and Bone. Highly recommended.
